Mark Mogler - Research Scientist I
 

Mark graduated with a B.S. in microbiology from Iowa State University in May of 2007.  He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Veterinary Microbiology at Iowa State University.  Mark joined Harrisvaccines in January of 2009. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

Dr. J. Dustin Loy - Research Scientist I

 

Dr. Loy graduated with a B.S. in animal science and microbiology from Iowa State University in 2005. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with an emphasis in food animal medicine from Iowa State University in 2009.  He recently received his Ph.D. in veterinary microbiology from Iowa State University in December 2011. He joined Harrisvaccines in February of 2010.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 






 Patrick Jennings - Production Coordinator

 

 

Patrick received a Master of Science in entomology from Iowa State University in spring, 2011.  As Production Coordinator for Harrisvaccines, Patrick will be heavily involved in all aspects of vaccine production, including fermentation, extraction, cell culture, and vaccine harvest.  He will also be involved in the process of product development and the transfer from research to production.

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 Jill Gander - Production & Research Associate

 

Jill graduated with a B.S. in biochemistry from Viterbo University in 2007. She then earned her Masters degree in Biology, with a concentration in clinical microbiology, from the University of Wisconsin in 2010, where she focused on negative-sense RNA virus genetics through replicon-based reverse genetics systems. Jill joined Harrisvaccines in September, 2010. As a Harrisvaccines Production and Research Associate, Jill works to develop new methods, products, and technologies to improve Harrisvaccines, and plays an important role in our efforts to license RP vaccines. 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

Lauren Betts - Production Associate

 

Lauren graduated with a B.S. in biology and a Minor in chemistry from FLorida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers in 2010. She joined Harrisvaccines in November, 2010. As a Harrisvaccines Production Associate, Lauren is involved in all aspects of vaccine production, including cell culture, vaccine harvest, and release assay testing. She also facilitates the process of product development from research to production. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

Robyn Rourke - Production Associate

Robyn Rourke graduated with a B.S. in biochemistry from Iowa State Universiry in 2011. She joined Harrisvaccines in August, 2011. As a Harrisvaccines Production Associate, Robyn will assist in all aspects of vaccine production. She will also facilitate the process of product development from research to production.

 

 

 

 

  

 

Amy Scallon - Production Associate

Amy Scallon graduated with her B.S. in biology from Iowa State University in May, 2011. Amy joined Harrisvaccines in July, 2011. As a Production Associate, she will assist in the production of vaccines and research materials. In addition, she will coordinate and conduct experimental processes for vaccine production. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Duan Loy, Graduate Student - Shrimp Vaccine Research

 

Dr. Loy graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2006. She worked for two and a half years at Shrimp Culture Research Center (SCRC) of Charoen Pokphand (CP) in Thailand. She then earned her Master of Veterinary Surveillance degree at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in veterinary microbiology at Iowa State University. Duan assists with shrimp research for Harrisvaccines.
