Pamela Whitson - Animal Research Facility Manager
 
Pamela serves as Animal Research Facility Manager and Chair of the company's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). IACUC must evaluate and prepare reports on all of the institution's programs and facilities for activities involving animals. Prior to joining Harrisvaccines in August of 2009, she had worked for 24 years in Laboratory Animal Resources at Iowa State University. Pamela is a Certified Laboratory Animal Technologist through American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) since 1993. She is a member of AALAS Branch.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ryan Olive - Aquaculture Research Technician
 
Ryan graduated with a B.S. in animal ecology with a focus in fisheries from Iowa State University in 2005.  Prior to joining Harrisvaccines, Ryan worked at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Fairbanks, Alaska, as well as the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.  He began working for Harrisvaccines in January of 2011.  As an Aquaculture Research Facility Technician, Ryan provides technical assistance for the rearing of larval and post larval marine shrimp through implementing and evaluating new procedures and monitoring experiments.  
 
 
 
 
  

 

 

Kara Jimenez - Aquaculture Research Technician

Kara Jimenez graduated with her B.S. in aquatic biology from Texas State University in 2010 where she participated as a research assistant to identify native and invasive freshwater macrophyte and fish species throughout the state of Texas. Kara joined Harrisvaccines in December, 2011. As an Aquaculture Research Technician Kara will provide technical assistance for the rearing of larval and post-larval marine shrimp, as well as monitoring experiments and the implementation and evaluation of new procedures.
